There have been plenty of ups and downs in the Van and Van Leasing world this past year. Prices and the cost the of borrowing have increased, the semi-conductor shortage is still causing production issues delating delivery and there have been many rumblings around electric vans and vehicles. Crusader Vans has, as always, been able to offer some extremely good, well-priced and price-locked Van Leasing deals and despite a multitude of challenges the year has been good.
New Vans 2023
One can very easily say that nothing much changes when it comes to new vans; vans are workhorses, built for practicality not performance and luxurious levels of comfort. However, Van drivers, transport and fleet managers demand a lot more from a Van and today New Vans have levels of comfort once the sole domain of luxury cars. Even entry level vans such as the Vauxhall Vivaro Dynamic have surprising levels of comfort for what is a very functional, tough medium van. With New Vans in 2023 you can expect more creature comforts because that is what Van drivers want, you can also expect a handful of new models, a few facelifts and plenty of hybrid and full-electric van options.
Late 2022 Vans
The latter part of 2022 has seen some new or newish kids on the block. New Vans for 2022 have included:
None of these are truly exceptional, perhaps except the for the Nissan Townstar with its petrol engine. All four are superb small vans and Crusader Vans can structure some affordable Van Leasing terms that will make sense you with delivery in 2023.
2023 Van Leasing Deals
When it comes to New Vans and great 2023 Van Leasing Deals there are a few vans to consider or look out for. Most notably for British Van users, the new 2023 Ford Transit Custom will be available with new Diesel, Mild-Hybrid and Plug-in-Hybrid power units.
Leading straight on and into the 2023 Volkswagen Transporter, as everyone knows, has been developed in partnership with the Ford Transit Custom. There isn’t much information available on the 2023 VW Transporter other than the fact that it will be a robust and reliable as ever.
In 2022 we said goodbye to the Ford Fiesta. On the back of this, Ford has announced a mystery new light commercial vehicle will be built in Romania from 2023, but at this stage we do not even know if this is a van or a pickup.
Electric Vans for 2023
When it comes to Electric Vans a lot of new vans are expected during the course of 2023. One van of great interest is the BYD ETP3
The BYD ETP3 electric van’s UK launch has been on the cards since 2020 but the coronavirus pandemic means the van is now expected in the middle of 2023 – following the UK launch of the brand. You can expect the BYD ETP3 to offer excellent value when compared to European rivals such as the Ford E-Transit Custom. The BYD can carry a payload of up to 780kg and has a 3.5 cubic meter capacity, making the most of that capacity should be easy thanks to sliding doors on either side and excellent access through the rear. In town, the BYD’s automatic gearbox makes it relaxing to drive and you can expect its 134hp engine to offer plenty of get-up-and-go when hauling heavy loads. Using its regenerative brakes, the BYD can eke out a range of up to 170 miles between charges. Charging the relatively small 45kWh battery from 10-100% takes as little as 30 minutes using a public fast charger.
Electric Van Leasing
Electric Van Leasing is expected to form a larger percentage of business for Crusader Vans in 2023. Nearly every manufacturer with every size of van has either brought out or is about to bring out an electric variant their vans. With the infrastructure needed to support electric vehicles improving and despite the tax advantages falling away, electric vehicles are the current way forward. Clean Air Zones and companies generally thinking greener is seeing an increased demand for electric vans. Crusader Vans is geared up to support UK businesses with their electric van needs.
