The PV5 - Kia's first dedicated electric van - landed to strong demand and went on to win the 2026 International Van of the Year award. What is the Kia PV7?
The PV7 is the second model in Kia's PBV electric van range, revealed at the IAA Transportation 2026 show in Hannover. It sits above the PV5 and below the even larger PV9 (due in 2029). Like the PV5, it's built on Kia's dedicated E-GMP.S electric architecture - a ground-up EV platform that allows a flat floor, a low loading height, and maximum use of interior space.
It will be offered in both Cargo (panel van) and Passenger (people-carrier) forms, with Kia planning to expand the range to as many as 23 variants over time — including Cargo Compact, Cargo Long, High Roof, Passenger, and a Chassis Cab for conversions. In other words, whatever your business does, there's likely to be a PV7 built for it.
Size-wise, the PV7 Long measures 5,350 mm long, 1,995 mm wide and around 1,990 mm tall - putting it roughly on a par with a long-wheelbase Volkswagen Transporter or an L2 Ford Transit Custom. That's a significant step up from the PV5.
